Welcome to the Concussion Clinician Community!
The Concussion Clinician was founded by Jaimie Gant, a speech-language pathologist and brain injury specialist, to bridge the gap in concussion care for clinicians who treat clients with post-concussion syndrome, many of whom face persistent cognitive challenges. While most concussion management programs—often developed by physical therapists—focus on the physical aspects of recovery, there has been a significant lack of support for the cognitive-communication difficulties that are common after a concussion.
Our mission is to provide rehabilitation professionals—including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physicians—with evidence-based resources to assess and treat cognitive deficits such as memory, attention, and executive function challenges. We aim to empower clinicians, athletes, and families with the knowledge and tools to recognize these cognitive effects, support effective rehabilitation, and ensure a safe return to work, school, and play.
